A young girl got lucky on "The Voice Kids," even without her lucky charm -- a 25-centavo coin that she brings with her every time she joins a competition.
Eleven-year-old Marianne Interino from Olongapo City has been singing since she was very young. Her mother recalled her singing the classic "Ugoy ng Duyan" when she was only two. She also has the ability to remember lyrics easily.
Before the blind auditions, Interino was nervous, especially when she remembered that she did not have her lucky charm with her.
However, even without it, Interino wowed Broadway star Lea Salonga, who immediately turned her chair after hearing the first few notes of Aegis' "Luha."
Salonga said the last time she remember turning that quickly was for Mitoy Yonting.
Bamboo praised Interino for her powerful voice, while Sarah Geronimo congratulated the contestant, saying she deserves to be in this competition.
By the end of the episode, Team Lea gained two new recruits: Interino and Giedie Laroco.
Team Sarah also gained two new members -- Lee Marcelino and Rica Ito -- while Camp Kawayan have three new members: Filipino-Japanese Natsumi Saito, Edray Teodoro and Maite Zubiri.
