Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford to wed on April this year
It's Showtime host Billy Crawford and fiance Coleen Garcia are set to wed April this year, the soon-to-be-bride told reporters at a press conference for her new movie "Sin Island"/
According to Garcia, they chose April for their wedding month hoping that their special day - which will be a beach wedding - would have a good weather.
Doctors Vicki Belo and Steve Mark Gan are among the couple's principal sponsors. Ria Atayde is Coleen's Maid of Honor. The entourage will also include some of their "It's Showtime" family co-hosts and friends outside the industry.
"Ngayon parang pinaplantsa na lang namin lahat. Malapit na rin kaming mag-send ng invitation,"Coleen shared.
When asked where would they spend their honeymoon, Coleen said that she would either like to go to the Maldives or for a drive across North America or Europe.

Star Cinema has released the official trailer of "Ang Panday" with Coco Martin playing the title role of FPJ's iconic character. The movie is Star Cinema's official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Unexpectedly Yours earns Php 14 million on its first day
Star Cinema's latest film "Unexpectedly Yours" made an impressive performance on its first day at the box office. The film outfit announced on its social media accounts that it earned Php 14 million on Wednesday.
The movie which was given an A-rating by the Cinema Evaluation Board is a reunion movie of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla. It also marks the third film of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia as love team following their first two hits - Vince, Kath &James and Love You To The Stars and Back.

Julia Barretto has confirmed she and love team partner Joshua Garcia are already in a romantic relationship.
In an interview with Boy Abunda last night at Tonight With Boy Abunda, Julia was asked why she still hasn't answered Joshua.
Boy asked, "Bakit hindi mo pa sinasagot si Joshua?"
Julia took a while before she answered. "Buti na lang honest ako, Tito Boy", she quipped.
"First of all, sino bang nagsabing hindi pa?", was Julia\s rhetoric answer.
To this, Boy, Erich, and everyone in the studio burst into laughter filled with kilig. Julia also added, "Bakit may pag-assume kayo agad?" while touching her hair.

During the presscon for their latest movie Unexpectedly Yours, their co-star Sharon Cunetaa revealed the two are in a relationship. She said that JoshLia calls each other B1 and B2 for Baba1 and Baba2.

Unexpectedly Yours opens today in cinemas nationwide.

Kambal, Karibal is GMA7's newest teledrama on prime time. It premiered on Monday night, November 27 taking the timeslot of Dingdong Dantes-starrer Alyas Robinhood which had its finale episode last Friday.
Kambal Karibal (Twin, Rival) stars Bianca Umali and Kyline Alcantara in the title role with Miguel Tanfelix as the leading man.
Formerly titled "Santa santita", Bianca plays Crisanta, a prudent and intelligent maid who dreams of becoming an engineer in the near future. She loves her twin sister Criselda so much but would make sacrifices as they both love Diego played by Miguel who's a an abandoned son of a GRO wnd will make Crisanta feel what love is all about.
Kyline is Cheska De Villa, Diego's former girlfriend. To her will Criselda's spirit be shaken. She is the main antagonist of the series.
Pauline is Criselda Bautista, Crisanta's twin sister who will eventually die because of a rare disease but will return as a ghost who only shows up in front of Crisanta. She will evolve into an evil spirit. Out of her jealousy for Diego's love to her own twin sister, she will curse her badly with the help of Cristina. She will possess Cheska and will control her.

After the success of her first lead role on television via "The Greatest Love", Sylvia Sanchez returns to the small screen with yet another compelling performance in "Hanggang Saan".
The teleserye premiered on Monday, November 27 on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold (afternoon bloc) replacing "The Promise of Forever".
Hanggang Saan follows an unconventional take on a mother’s love. Sonya's (Sanchez) family may seem ordinary, but her life will leave a lot questions to viewers because unlike the usual story of a mother’s sacrifice, Sonya gets herself in a perilous situation where she kills an innocent man in order to prolong the life of her son.
The award-winning actress also teams up for the first time with her real-life son Arjo Atayde, who plays the smart and reliable Paco, a law student and Sonya’s dedicated son.
The series also stars Ariel Rivera, Sue Ramirez, Maris Racal and Yves Flores. Marlo Mortel, Nikko Natividad, Rommel Padilla, and Teresa Loyzaga under the direction of Mervyn Brondial and Jeffrey Jeturian.

Seven Sundays grosses Php 271 million worldwide
Star Cinema's family drama movie Seven Sundays has earned Php 271 million worldwide according to its social media accounts on Monday.
The movie which had a premiere screening locally on second week of October had a Php 10 miliion opening box office gross.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the movie rerecived an A-rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board. The movie stars Aga Muhlach, Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, Ronaldo Valdez, and Enrique Gil.
GMA7 announces the return of Starstruck
The kapuso network is out again to discover new talents as it announced on its website the return of Starstruck - the network's its first-ever reality-based artista search on television.
Some of the network's prized talents were discovered through Starstruck including its first ever Ultimate Survivor Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Kris Bernal, and Alden Richards. Other are network-switchers like Paulo Avelino, Arci Muñoz, Aljur Abrenica, and Cristine Reyes.
Aside from Starstruck, GMA is also fielding two new original singing competitions. One is "Center Stage" where contestants should impress the judges whom will bring them to the center stage.
Another one is a singing competition to be hosted by none other Asia's Songbir Regine Velasquez. The Clash is a cutthroat search where undiscovered vocal talents will fight against each other until one is left standing.
All these three shows are slated for telecast starting next year.
Aden Richards rushed to the hospital
The camp of kapuso heartthrob Alden Richards has yet to issue a statement on his love team partner Maine Mendoza's open letter to their fans and supporters after the latter wrote in her blog post that she and Alden are just friends and love team.
According to people close to the actor, he was rushed to the hospital after vomiting and felt dizziness.Food poisoning was pointed as reason. They suspect Alden had eaten something which did not "dwell" well in his stomach.
But some rumormongers said Alden got stressed of Maine's blog post? How true, Alden?

Maria Isabel Lopez's driver's license revoked
The action was recommended by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)to the LTO after she used the Asean lane on the night of November 11 to escape the traffic jam.
The sanction will last for two years which will bar her from reapplying and reacquiring a driver’s license according to MMDA assistant general manager for planning Jojo Garcia.
Lopez was also made to pay a total fine of P8,000. Garcia said that P5,000 of which was for violating the anti-distracted driving law, while P3,000 was for her reckless driving and disregarding of traffic signs.
Peters crowned Miss Universe 2017
Philippines' bet Rachel Peters's new-found sister in Miss Universe 2017 competition Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa was crowned as Miss Universe 2017 on Monday (Manila time), besting contestants from all over the world, including Rachel herself who made it to the Top 10.

In final Question and Answer portion, the top 3 were asked the same question: "What quality in yourself are you most proud of and how will you apply that quality in your time as Miss Universe?"
Miss South Africa Nel-Peters, a 22-year-old model, answered:
"As Miss Universe you have to be confident in who you are as an individual. A Miss Universe is a woman that has overcome many fears and by that she is able to help other women overcome their fears. She is a woman that nothing is ever too much is asked for and that's exactly who I am."
First runner-up Laura González Ospina, 22, is a Colombian actress and model born in Cali but raised in Cartagena. She went to the Cartagena Modern Gymnasium and Dramatic Art at the School of Education Actoral House Ensemble and speaks English, Spanish and French. She participated in the 2017 telenovela "La Cacica" as Chechi. She has also been featured in several films.
Answering the final question, Miss Colombia quipped:
"I'm incredibly passionate in everything I do. With compassion, I have discipline. With compassion I put my whole self in every situation that I work at. I've done this as an actress. I've done this a Colombian and I do not doubt that I will do this as Miss Universe."
Second runner-up Davina Bennett, a 23-year-old Jamaican model, had this answer to the question:
"I'm most appreciative of is my drive, my determination. I am the owner of a foundation that spread awareness for the deaf community. And this platform is a great platform great to let persons know that these persons need opportunities and need equal opportunities as those in society. And so Miss Universe competition will be the platform for me to use this foundation to spread awaress for all the deaf and mute around. Thank you."

Ang Babaeng Allergic Sa WiFi stars three of today's most promising young stars - Jameson Blake (2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten), Jerome Ponce (Haunted Mansion), and Sue Ramirez (The Debutantes).
Under the direction of internationlly-acclaimer Jun Robles Lana (Die Beautiful), the movie tells about the story of Norma (Ramirez) - a typical young woman who loves to post photos in her social media accounts.
Celebrating their third monthsary with her boyfriend (Ponce), she was dianosed with EHS Sydrome or Electromagnetic Hypersensisitivity. That means, she's allergic to cellphones, tables, laptops, and most of all, to WiFi.
Her mom decided to send her to somewhere in a remote area where WiFi is hardly available. She then misses her boyfriend but one who misses her more is her boyfriend's younger brother (Blake).
