Roxanne Cabanero Clears Why She Could Not Remember The Exact Date Of The Alleged Rape

Roxanne Cabanero is disappointed to Vhong Navarro's non-appearance to the preliminary investigation of the rape complaint she filed against the actor at the Pasig Prosecutor's Office last March 13.

Roxanne added that she is angry, pressured and emotional and at the same time she is scared but there are people who tries to comfort and support her so she is strong enough that she can find her justice.

Still, one of the most confusing details were the actual date and place of the alleged rape. It is not yet clear when and where did the incident really happened.

According to Roxanne's first affidavit that is submitted last February 19, the alleged rape happened on April 24, 2010, but details changed when her lawyer Atty. Virgilio Batalla followed up that the incident happened anywhere between April 24 to 27, 2010.

Roxanne stated that he met Vhong in Showtime on the 24th but she could not remember what date the alleged rape happened since that was a long time ago. She added that it's a very horrifying incident that's why she tried to forget about it. She doesn't have a time to find justice then because it's so hard for her to relive it.

The place where she was picked up by Navarro, the supposed to be hotel where she stayed during the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant where she is one of the contestants on April 2010, keeps changing. This just made her acquire more haters and bashers on social media because of the ever changing details of her story. Roxanne said they are entitled to their own rights so they can say whatever they want to say.

Roxanne added that she is a very private person. Those who really knew her supports and love her so much especially her family and that made her strong during these times. Many people call her prostitute, GRO in connection to her alleged nude photos that circulated the internet before. Some makes fun about her case but she stayed strong. She just wants a little respect, and she is really disappointed and badly hurt about it.

Roxanne Cabanero's Camp Stays Confident With Filed Rape Complaint Against Vhong Navarro

Roxanne Cabanero's camp stood by it's statement that Roxanne was at the Millenia Suites last April 24, 2010.

According to Roxanne's lawyer Atty. Virgilio Batalla, Millenia Suites already admitted that they billeted the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant contestants before.

This contradict to Slimmers World International's statement, the organizer of Miss Bikini Philippines, where Roxanne joined the pageant.

The statement said that "Miss Bikini Philippines was not billeted in Astoria Plaza on 24 April 2010 and was nowhere near the perimeters of the said area nor was in Pasig City on such date."

Atty. Batalla also have stated earlier that her client got confused about the hotel where the pageant contestants checked in.

About the libel and perjury case Vhong Navarro's camp is planning to file, Atty. Batalla reacted that Vhong's camp has a right to file such case. But he asked, "have you seen the grand design?" Batalla said Vhong's camp resorted to misleading the public that the rape happened on April 24 but its not. Second, Vhong's camp discredit the reputation of his client, but there are certain elements to a crime of rape wherein a prostitute can even file a rape case. He exampled the case of Mike Tyson where Tyson got jailed because he raped a prostitute. And lastly, he said that all this time, they are threatening his client which is in violation of a code of lawyer.

So the big question is if its not April 24 then when? Atty. Batalla said its very clear that they did not mention any specific date but its also clear that April 24 was the date written on the affidavit filed by Roxanne Cabanero. It is really somewhat confusing.

Atty. Batalla explained why his client, Roxanne Cabanero could not remember the hotel and the date of the alleged rape clearly because Roxanne is "probinsyana". Probinsiyana in a sense that it's just her second time in Manila during the pageant, and a rape victim is psychologically shocked that there is a big tendency for her to get confused about the details of what happened during when she was raped.

Atty. Batalla also clarified that his client has no connection whatsoever to Cedric Lee despite allegations of Vhong's camp that Roxanne's actions were all Cedric Lee's plans.

Atty. Batalla also commented about the nude pictures of Roxanne around the internet. He said that it is immaterial and irrelevant since prostitutes can even file a rape complaint.

He added that their camp is confident that they have a case! He said they will not file a complaint if its baseless anyway.
