This contradicts the previous news that Coleen was the reason behind Billy and Nikki Gil's breakup.
Coleen said that Billy is special but they are still not officially together. Coleen further explains that she wants to take some time because she wants to be sure about this. She realized that there is always time and the thing with boyfriend and girlfriend is not really for the label, for her, for Billy, but its for other people. She said there is something special between them but there is still no label. She further asked, noting if there is a deadline?
Meanwhile, in an interview at Buzz ng Bayan a few months ago, Billy stated that there was a point in time where Coleen is keeping her distance away from Billy because of all the negative issues being thrown at them.
Coleen never denied this issue. She said, when they were in New York the news that broke out isn't true. Billy was on the same plane with Coleen's manager, Mr. Johnny Manahan and he can really vouch that they never went there together. But the news that circulated was really horrible and it was never true. Coleen was so shocked and at that time, she noticed that she was the only one talking and her words were taken out of context. She just felt that she doesn't want to talk for a long time because her words were really thrown out of proportion. She said she doesn't want to talk anymore until Billy came out in defense for her. But before that she felt like she was the only one helping herself. That was what she felt before and she told Billy about that. She is very straightforward and she thinks that's the reason why she is having a hard time with interviews, they just can't understand her point.
In the same Buzz ng Bayan interview of Billy, he said he found his lost self because of Coleen in which Coleen never agreed.
Coleen said Billy actually never told her that. What she does know is that Billy found himself when he went to the States. That's Billy's side of the story which Coleen was aware of. She doesn't think that Billy found himself through her. She thinks Billy found himself when he found his freedom. Coleen added that Billy had the state and the freedom to be himself, he got to be himself again. She also thinks that when you are with someone, you have to be full as a person. She doesn't want to go into a relationship when she thinks she's not complete. The same thing when you were having doubts.
Up until now, Coleen was still making headlines and being pinpointed as the cause of Billy and Nikki's breakup. The TV host stated that she was really hurt because of this accusation by her detractors. She said, those people really don't know what they are talking about even though she already explained herself over and over again. She also added that she doesn't have to worry anything since deep in her heart, she knew that all the accusations thrown at her were not true.
