A Filipino radio personality from Guam turned the chairs of the two "Voice of the Philippines" coaches during the Blind Auditions aired on Sunday.
Performing Brian McKnight's "One Last Cry," Charles Catbagan impressed coaches Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo, who both gave a standing ovation for the contestant.
Both coaches wooed Catbagan to join their team. But in the end, he chose his long-time idol, Lea Salonga.
The 26-year-old Pinoy came all the way from Guam, where he works as a DJ, just to join "The Voice of the Philippines."
Catbagan said he joined the competition to fulfill his dream of giving his parents a new house.
