Heart Evangelista And Chiz Escudero Finally Tied The Knot

Heart Evangelista finally exchanged vows with her fiancé, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, in an intimate ceremony held at the Balesin Island Club on Sunday.



The actress turned emotional as she thanked Escudero for loving and fighting for her.

It is no secret that the couple’s ties estranged Evangelista from her parents for a time. While they have patched things up, Evangelista's mother Cecile and father Rey have decided not to attend the wedding, according to the actress.

Meanwhile, Escudero also thanked Evangelista for “giving him the chance to love again."

Escudero was previously married to Christine Flores for seven years until the annulment of their marriage in 2012.

Evangelista, who turned 30 on February 14, has been in a relationship with Escudero, who is 15 years her senior, since July 2012.

The two got engaged at the garden of Escudero's home in Sorsogon in August last year.

Heart Evangelista shared a peek at her prenuptial pictorial with Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero in Sorsogon, the lawmaker's home province where he proposed marriage to the actress in August.

The shoot was directed by renowned wedding videographer Bob Nicolas, according to Evangelista in a series of posts on Instagram. Among Nicolas' recent works is the wedding video of actor Jericho Rosales and TV host Kim Jones.

Evangelista and Escudero's pictorial appears to be road trip-themed. The couple poses on a motorcycle by the entrance of a church, and later along a road lined with lush trees.

The 29-year-old actress also posted photos of her and Escudero in the municipality of Barcelona in Sorsogon, where they gamely posed with locals. One photo shows the couple surrounded by a huge crowd, including students apparently starstruck by the two.

Evangelista and Escudero, who is older than her by 16 years, have set their wedding on February 15, 2015 at Balesin Island Club, a day after the actress' birthday.

Heart Evangelista recently posted a photo on Instagram where her March 2014 Cosmopolitan magazine cover was placed side by side with that of Marian Rivera's February 2014 Cosmopolitan magazine cover issue, with the caption: “One left!!:) glad you guys got your copy:)”.

Fans of Marian Rivera thought it was a direct swipe at their idol because Hearts cover mag has one issue left on the newstand rack compared to Marian's which has a couple more left. The fans thought it was made to appear that Heart Evangelista's magazine cover is more popular than that of Marian's cover.

One person commented that Heart's insecurity towards Marian is mighty high and another theorized that Heart bought every issue of her cover mag and left one and then she took a picture of it. Another fan said Heart did something childish, insecure and such a provoking act.

Heart explained and defended herself about the Instagram photo with this caption, One of the greatest mental freedoms is truly not caring about what anyone else thinks of you.” She added, "It's really hard to be an actress especially everytime when you choose to just shut up. People have no idea how others can be in person. I honestly didn’t mean anything in fact, if I hated someone which is a strong word to begin with, why would I even have that person in my instagram post. I thank my supporters. It’s not my fault my magazine was placed beside “her”. I’ve always been honest and outspoken. She ain’t my favorite person because of what she did to me and others but that was years ago. When Heart was asked to reconcile with Marian, she answered that she's already sick and tired at the fans of Dingdong's girlfriend.
