After their grand wedding last week, celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are all set to leave the country for their honeymoon.

In her official Instagram account, Rivera shared her excitement over her honeymoon with Dantes in Rome.



Over the weekend, Dantes and Rivera spent their first days as a married couple in the island paradise of Boracay.

The two tied the knot last December 30 at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Quezon City.

In a previous interview, Rivera said that she wants to have a baby with Dantes immediately after their wedding.

Newlyweds Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera spent their first few days as a married couple in the paradise island of Boracay.

The couple of over five years tied the knot in a ceremony widely publicized as a "royal wedding" last December 30 at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Quezon City.

In her personal Instagram account, Rivera shared her photo with Dantes and her father sitting by the grotto on the famous white sand beach.

Television host Tim Yap also posted a picture of the two celebrities as they watch the setting sun.

In a previous interview, Rivera had said that she wants to have a baby with Dantes immediately after their wedding.

Marian Rivera And Dingdong Dantes Are Now Married

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are now officially married.

The couple was pronounced husband and wife at exactly 4:10 P.M. on December 30.

The wedding ceremony was officiated by Bishop Honesto Ongtioco at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City.

Marian was all smiles as she walked down the aisle on her own at first.

The Kapuso Primetime Queen was every inch the stunning bride in her Swarovski-studded Michael Cinco gown with matching bejeweled tiara as part of her headpiece.

But before reaching Dingdong’s side, Marian was ushered by her parents Francisco Javier Gracia and Amalia Rivera.

Marian was also greeted by her Lola Francisca, who shed tears upon seeing the radiant bride.

The groom, for his part, was obviously in high spirits as he waited for Marian at the end of the altar.

During the ceremony, Bishop Teodoro Bacani delivered the Homily about eternal love between a married couple.

For their wedding vows, Dingdong and Marian uttered the traditional Roman Catholic wedding vows.

When they were about to exchange their first kiss as husband and wife, Marian laughed a little before she and Dingdong finally sealed their promise of forever with a kiss.

The couple even fist-bumped and laughed at each other, proving that they’re not just lovers but also the best of friends.

After the mandatory photo-ops at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the couple went straight to the wedding reception at MOA Arena.

The main entrance of the venue featured a mobile bar where guests were welcomed with cocktail drinks.

Inside the lobby, Dingdong and Marian’s favorite food, movies, and date places were written in floor-to-ceiling calligraphy panels, which also served as a photo wall for new arrivals.

The patron area of MOA Arena was transformed into a huge ballroom with what seemed to be like handcrafted chandeliers, beautifully-arranged long tables and floral centerpieces.

Interestingly, the seven-course-meal includes “sinigang na hipon ni Marian,” which happens to be her specialty dish.

The program is hosted by Bettina Carlos and Gabby Eigenmann.

Celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes travelled to the deserts of the Middle East to shoot what seemed to be their prenuptial photos.

Based on their Instagram accounts, the two recently visited Dubai where they joined a desert safari. In one of the actress’ photos, Dantes and Rivera could be seen playing with the camels against the setting sun.

Dantes also posted a picture of his shadow in the desert which was captioned by the hashtag “JourneytoDDay.”


Aside from their supposed prenuptial pictorial, the two celebrities also visited renowned fashion designer Michael Cinco, who will be creating Rivera’s wedding gown.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes were rumored to have been already married when they were in Luang Prabang, Laos.

According to the rumor, they got married in Laos through a Buddhist ceremony. The same procedure a Catholic wedding is initiated. There are candles, cord, offerings and their own version and interpretation of communion. In other words, its the same ceremony since it was officiated by a spiritual head or adviser, the same thing as our priest in the Catholic church.

If the rumor is true, then in reality they are already married but it is just in a manner where it is not on our cultural boundaries. The only thing missing is a marriage contract.
