Citing the uploader of Abante's videos, Tricia Mendoza, Philstar.com on Tuesday reported that producers of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" has reached out to the singer, also known as "Bunot," for a possible stint on the show.
Should Abante's guesting on "Ellen" push through, it will not be the first time Filipino talents have been featured on the internationally aired program.
In September 2013, the General Santos-based music duo of Aldrich Talonding and James Bucong performed "Dance With My Father" on the show after being interviewed by DeGeneres.
Charice Pempengco, who similarly began as a YouTube sensation, marked the start of her international career when she performed on the program in December 2007.
Singers Rhap Salazar and Zendee Tenerefe also debuted on American TV when DeGeneres invited them at different times to perform on her show in late 2012.
