The action was recommended by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)to the LTO after she used the Asean lane on the night of November 11 to escape the traffic jam.
The sanction will last for two years which will bar her from reapplying and reacquiring a driver’s license according to MMDA assistant general manager for planning Jojo Garcia.
Lopez was also made to pay a total fine of P8,000. Garcia said that P5,000 of which was for violating the anti-distracted driving law, while P3,000 was for her reckless driving and disregarding of traffic signs.
