Hashtags member Franco Hernandez dies in drowning incident
A member of Hashtags - an all-male group in ABS-CBN noontime show "It's Showtime"drowned in Davao Occidental on Saturday afternoon.
ABS-CBN entertainment news reporter MJ Felipe confirmed Franco Hernandez'sthrough his talent agency, Cornerstone Entertainment.
According to police investigation of the incident, Hernandez, 26, was on his way back to North Lamidan, Don Marcelino town together with his girlfriend and Tom Doromal, another member of Hashtags, a strong wave hit their motorized banca causing him and his girlfriend to fall off.
The people operating the banca were able to pull the two back into the boat, but Hernandez was already unconscious. He was brought to a clinic in Malita town, where he was later on declared dead on arrival.
Franco Miguel Hernandez Lumanlan in real life, Franco joined Hashtags February this year, and was introduced as the "Hataw Heartthrob" among the new members.
