Piolo Pascual and Yen Santos star in "Northern Lights: A Journey To Love"

Formerly titled Once In A Lifetime, Piolo Pascual and Yen Santos are paired up for the first time in Norther Lights: A Journey To Love under the joint production of Regal Films, Spring Films, and Star Cinema.

In the movie, Piolo plays Charlie Sr., an OFW working in Alaska. An almost perfect guy only that he's a playboy. Part of his moves to impress a girl is to bring her to the mountains to witness the Northern Lights.

Yen plays Angel - a first timer in Alaska. Beautiful, sexy but boyish. She will meet Charlie Jr. (played by Raikko Mateo) first before meeting the older Charlie.

Charlie Jr. was abandoned by his second father when he was four years old but he knows it wasn't his biological father until he meets his father (Charlie Sr.) in Alaska.

Nothern Lights also stars Tirso Cruz III, Jerald Napoles, Maricar De Mesa, Sandy Andolong, and Joel Torre..

Directed by Dondon Santos, some scenes were shot in New Zealand. Movie opens soon.

Kim Chiu and Matteo Guidicelli have started shooting for their latest movie under Star Cinema called "Ghost Bride" yesterday, Feb. 28.

Matteo posted the photo his Instagram account and wrote,

"Direk Chito R. is one of the directors I've always wanted to work with. And it's actually happening! This was during our first day shooting of #GhostBride with @chinitaprincess yesterday. 👊🙏🍾 #shooting #film"

The movie which will be handled by Chito Roño marks Kim Chiu's third movie with the director while Matteo will be his first time.

In the movie's story conference last month, Kim shared she'll play the titular role.

"Sobra akong happy to represent the Chinese tradition… rich ang Pilipinas sa Chinese culture pero isa 'to sa mga hindi masyadong alam… ang maging ghost bride," she said.

Other stars included in the movie are Rio Locsin, JC Santos, Jerome Ponce, Victor Silayan, and Alice Dixson.

In an interview, KathNiel shared their excitement and revealed that fans would sure love their movie as it's something that is entirely different from their last movie "Barcelona: A Love Untold" which was serious drama.

Cant Help Falling In Love is a romatnic-comedy movie, so it's something light to watch, fun, and will give lessons in life.

"Rom-com as in rom-com talaga iyong movie na ito. Parang the whole time ay hindi siya mabigat panoorin . . . Masaya siya na may matutunan tayo after," Kathryn said.

"Hindi naman nawawala iyong bigat nang kada story pero ito kasi, compared sa 'Barcelona,' mas maraming comedy ito, maraming masasayang eksena, at marami ring characters," Daniel said.

The couple recently renewed their exclusive three-year contract with ABS-CBN Aside from the movie, they will soon be seen in primetime television via "La Luna Sangre" - a sequel of the 2010 series "Imortal" which starred Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz.

The first ever drama series of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza on television has made its pilot run on primetime last night over GMA7.

"Destined To Be Yours" not only trended at the top spot worldwide but won the hearts of televiewers if we're to base the data gathered by AGB Nielsen. The MaiChard soap registered 22.5% against ABS-CBN's soap "My Dear Heart" with 19.6% tv ratings - a 2.9% difference.

Meanwhile, Kantar Media's overnight ratings say otherwise. The pilot episode of DTBY scored a national TV rating of 20.2% compared to MDH which got 29.1%.

Bela Padilla and Yassi Pressman are now both certified kapamilyas as they inked a two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN.

The contract signing was held at Restaurant 9501 in ABS-CBN Thursday, February 23. Present in the contract signing are ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlos Katigbak and ABS-CBN Channel Head Cory Vidanes.

Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual are set to reunite in new movie after their record-breaking box office hit Starting Over Again in 2014.

In an interview at the "Change Is Beautiful" event last night, Toni revealed the news as what she considered a surprise project with the actor.

"This project actually came out of nowhere. I was supposed to do a different movie and then all of a sudden, everything fell accordingly. Nangyari lahat yung mga schedule namin, the script is so beautiful, it’s something that I wouldn’t want to miss," she said.

Teen King Daniel Padilla and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo made noise when they did a duet in ASAP last week singing the classic OPM hit "Ako'y Sa Iyo, Ikaw'y Akin". The video made it to Twitter's trending list.

In a recent interview, Daniel was asked at Vice Ganda's Valentine's Day concert in Araneta about the possbile team-up. Buzz has it that it was Daniel himself who went up and talked to Star Magic's top man, Mr. M, that he wanted to have a project with Sarah.

If it's possible, if he could be paired with other stars, which is apparent, he wanted to be no other than Matteo Guidicelli's girlfriend. Daniel confirmed this in the interview.

“Nasabi ko kay Mr. M na kung magkakaroon man ako ng movie na kasama 'yung iba, [sana] si Miss Sarah Geronimo. Miss Sarah Geronimo… ‘Yun lang naman ‘yun,”, a video clip of the interview was shown in the February 16 episode of Tonight With Boy Abunda.

When asked if there will be ever a chance for that and he replied, “Siya (Mr. M) na raw bahala!”

Ex-lovers Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga talk and settle things before flying to US for concert

Star Magic, the management handling the careers of former lovers Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga, has released a statement on Thursday and said that money had nothing to do with the breakup.

Erich and Daniel met with to discuss the issues involving their split, ABS-CBN New reported. The ex-couple also asked the public to give them a chance to patch things up privately.

Here's the statement of Star Magic released;

"Nagharap kahapon sina Erich Gonzales at Daniel Matsunaga sa Star Magic office para pagusapan ang mga issues na may kinalaman sa kanilang hiwalayan. Naging maayos ang usapan nilang dalawa. Walang kinalaman ang pera o third party sa kanilang paghihiwalay. Pakiusap nina Erich at Daniel na huwag idamay ang kanilang pamilya sa issue. Hiling rin ng dalawa ang pag-unawa at pagkakataong maayos ng pribado ang kanilang relasyon. Maraming salamat po."

Exactly a week ago, fans were shocked when Erich revealed that they were no longer together.

This revelation came after her social media followers noticed that she had deleted all her photos with Daniel and even with his family. Despite the obvious, Daniel refused to admit the end of their relationship, while Erich further clarified that they were no longer talking. Both agreed that there was no third party involved. However, Erich did not confirm nor deny speculations that finances had something to do with their split.

This prompted Matsunaga's sister Vanessa to ask her to clarify rumors about money problems  between the two. Provoked, Erich released a statement that she promises to tell everything.

Nonetheless, the timing of the talk casts doubt, as the two are flying abroad for shows. Incidentally, despite the setback in their personal lives, Daniel is bound for a new reality show with other celebrities from the network. Recently, Erich renewed her contract with ABS-CBN.

"It's over", Erich Gonzales confirms breakup with Daniel Matsunaga

ABS-CBN actress Erich Gonzales has confirmed rumors that she and boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga have broken up.

“It's true po. We're not together anymore. It’s over,  Gonzales told reporters after her renewing her contract with the kapamilya network on Thursday, February 9.

“To be honest po, ayaw ko po sanang mag-detalye. I just want to move on."

The actress also denied claims of Matsunaga on his Instagram post that they're talking to fix the relationship.

"Hindi po kami nag-uusap. It’s not true that we are talking. Hindi po kami magkaibigan," she said. Erich, however, confirmed Daniel’s statement that there was no third party involved.

The actress has also confirmed that she has deleted their photos on her Instagram account and unfollowed Daniel and his family.

“I think I just have to accept na may mga bagay po talagang we cannot control. Life goes on,” she said. “I deleted the photos. I unfollowed them. I just want to help myself.”

When asked what she has learned from their relationship, she said: “Siguro kapag nagmahal ka, kailangan magtira ka para sa sarili mo.”

Wearing a jacket and her signature short shorts, Ella Cruz gave her own groove to the famous Bruno Mars’ song. Compared to her other dance covers, this one is different because it’s Ella’s own choreography.
