ABS-CBN's opening salvo for 2017 "A Love To Last" has made its pilot run on primetime television last night, January 9 on ABS-CBN. The series stars Ian Veneracion, Iza Calzado, and Bea Alonzo.

Based on the overnight TV ratings released by Kantar Media, A Love To Last registered 25% in the national ratings - a little more than 5% lead against Dingdong Dantes-starrer action series Alyas Robinhood with 19.8%.

AGB Nielsen's NUTAM figures show Alyas Robin Hood dominated the timeslot with 21.6% against A Loe To Last with 17.8%.

It made it more relevant because the actress herself, Chloe Moretz, claimed their resemblance to each other. It was like they were twins from the other side of the world.

But recently, there has been a new picture circling around the internet, not about the double of Moretz, but the alleged doppelganger of international singer, Selena Gomez, spotted in Cebu during the Sinulog streetdance festival. The girl, whose identity remained a mystery bears a striking resemblance with the Hollywood star Selena, who was dancing as part of the festival being held in that province in the Philippines.

The girl was spotted recently on the Sinulog Festival in Cebu held last January 5. The girl caught the immediate attention of the local daily due to her being a look-alike of the star. Since her identity seemingly remained to be a mystery, the Cebu Daily News held a contest with a promise of reward to anyone who will be able to identify the girl on the photograph.

One Facebook user was able to uncover her identity. Dal Rodriguez, the facebook user, revealed the identity of the  girl to be Gerhicka Carcueva, the alleged look-alike of Selena Gomez, was a child of the Ginatilan Tribe in Cebu. She happens to be a Cebuano regularly celebrating their annual fest, never knowing that a simple photograph could catapult her once and foremost to the attention of the public media.

On her recent post on Instagram, Liza Soberano posted a photo of her crossing one of the streets in Japan carrying a black leather bag. The caption revealed that the bag that she’s carrying was actually a “special gift” from a special someone. Of course, that person is Enrique Gil.

According to Liza, the said gift was very special because the bag was already very rare to find but Enrique Gil managed to find the item which to be given as his 19th birthday present to his on screen sweetheart. The rare bag is a Chanel Boy Flap bag made from black diamond quilted caviar leather and antique gold hardware which costs close to half a million when bought brand new.

More of her Japan trip, Liza explored the busy streets of Shibuya and Tokyo along with her close friends and with Enrique’s gift to remind her that he’s with her during the trip. "Kung totoo man ito...hindi ko mapaniwalaan na nagawa nilang patayin ang walang kamalay-malay na asong ito para lang maging makatotohanan ang isang eksena sa pelikula. Nakakadurog ng puso", Sarah tweeted.

Other stars like Carla Abellana, Heart Evangelista have earlier condemned the act.

The movie was awarded FPJ Memorial award by the MMFF committee but was revoked following the controversy.
