Dessa Patilan, the former personal assistant of Claudine Barretto who was jailed because of qualified theft that was filed by the actress against her was bailed out temporarily on March 17 at the Marikina City Jail for P60,000 by Claudine's sister Gretchen Barretto.

Dessa was accompanied by her lawyers Atty. Noel Lazaro and Atty. Alma Mallonga.

Dessa was in jail for 10 months since Claudine filed a theft complaint against her which is worth P8.5 million last year.

Dessa denied the allegations and even filed a counter against Claudine stating the actress robbed her savings including gadgets worth P13,500.

Atty. Alma Mallonga said that Dessa's case was brought to them by no other than Claudine's elder sister, Gretchen Barretto. Atty. Mallonga said their service to Dessa is free. Dessa was very thankful that Gretchen helped her despite her status.


Atty. Mallonga stated that Gretchen helped Dessa because she thinks that doing the right thing is a good thing to do. The money used to bail her is actually something like being borrowed and as something of a gratitude of help.

Dessa was asked about her stay in jail and she answered it was really hard but she managed to get along with inmates and try to live a normal life. She even stated that in October 2013, she tried to commit suicide but the jail warden stopped and helped her.

Roxanne Cabanero is disappointed to Vhong Navarro's non-appearance to the preliminary investigation of the rape complaint she filed against the actor at the Pasig Prosecutor's Office last March 13.

Roxanne added that she is angry, pressured and emotional and at the same time she is scared but there are people who tries to comfort and support her so she is strong enough that she can find her justice.

Still, one of the most confusing details were the actual date and place of the alleged rape. It is not yet clear when and where did the incident really happened.

According to Roxanne's first affidavit that is submitted last February 19, the alleged rape happened on April 24, 2010, but details changed when her lawyer Atty. Virgilio Batalla followed up that the incident happened anywhere between April 24 to 27, 2010.

Roxanne stated that he met Vhong in Showtime on the 24th but she could not remember what date the alleged rape happened since that was a long time ago. She added that it's a very horrifying incident that's why she tried to forget about it. She doesn't have a time to find justice then because it's so hard for her to relive it.

The place where she was picked up by Navarro, the supposed to be hotel where she stayed during the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant where she is one of the contestants on April 2010, keeps changing. This just made her acquire more haters and bashers on social media because of the ever changing details of her story. Roxanne said they are entitled to their own rights so they can say whatever they want to say.

Roxanne added that she is a very private person. Those who really knew her supports and love her so much especially her family and that made her strong during these times. Many people call her prostitute, GRO in connection to her alleged nude photos that circulated the internet before. Some makes fun about her case but she stayed strong. She just wants a little respect, and she is really disappointed and badly hurt about it.

This is what Atty. Virgilio Batalla said about the perjury complaint filed by Vhong Navarro against his client, Roxanne Cabanero.

Roxanne is the second girl who filed a rape complaint against Vhong, next to Deniece Cornejo.

Atty. Batalla explained that it is a form of harassment because the perjury case has no legal and factual basis. It’s very basic in our law that a perjury being heard in the prosecution, if there is already a prima facie. If there is already proceedings in the court.

According to the legal dictionary, a prima facie is, "On the first appearance. A fact presumed to be true unless it is disproved."

Atty. Batalla added, If there is evidence presented before the court, well, perjury will come. In the meantime, there is still no perjury since the case is still not open in the court, unless they already admitted that they will show some evidence in the court.

On Thursday, March 6, Vhong filed a counter-affidavit at Pasig Prosecutor's Office as an answer to Roxanne's rape complaint filed last February 19.

Vhong also filed a perjury complaint against the aspiring beauty queen.

The preliminary investigation of the rape complaint filed by Roxanne against Vhong will be on March 13, Thursday.

Atty. Batalla assured that he and his client, Roxanne will be present at the proceedings. He added that Roxanne is in a safe place right now and he is updating her about all the legal developments about the case.

Atty. Batalla also concluded that the perjury case filed by Vhong Navarro is no other than a result of a desperate move. He said they have already prepared and will answer the counter-affidavit filed by Vhong at the preliminary investigation. He added, he doesn't know why Vhong's camp have filed it early since the supposed proper filing of the counter-affidavit is still on the 13th.

Atty. Batalla concluded that if their camp ever finds that Vhong's counter-affidavit has no merit according to their judgment, they will submit the case for resolution.

Liza Dino surprised her girlfriend Aiza Seguerra when Liza sang on her post-Valentine concert titled Journey of Love at Resorts World Manila last Saturday, March 1.

Aiza never ever thought Liza would sing in the concert because Liza could not even sing in a videoke. Aiza was really shocked and at the same time she is very happy.

Liza told that she thought she could not make it to the concert since she was in her master class before the concert. She was late and arrived 2 minutes when Aiza was already on stage.

Roxanne Cabanero's Camp Stays Confident With Filed Rape Complaint Against Vhong Navarro

Roxanne Cabanero's camp stood by it's statement that Roxanne was at the Millenia Suites last April 24, 2010.

According to Roxanne's lawyer Atty. Virgilio Batalla, Millenia Suites already admitted that they billeted the Miss Bikini Philippines pageant contestants before.

This contradict to Slimmers World International's statement, the organizer of Miss Bikini Philippines, where Roxanne joined the pageant.

The statement said that "Miss Bikini Philippines was not billeted in Astoria Plaza on 24 April 2010 and was nowhere near the perimeters of the said area nor was in Pasig City on such date."

Atty. Batalla also have stated earlier that her client got confused about the hotel where the pageant contestants checked in.

About the libel and perjury case Vhong Navarro's camp is planning to file, Atty. Batalla reacted that Vhong's camp has a right to file such case. But he asked, "have you seen the grand design?" Batalla said Vhong's camp resorted to misleading the public that the rape happened on April 24 but its not. Second, Vhong's camp discredit the reputation of his client, but there are certain elements to a crime of rape wherein a prostitute can even file a rape case. He exampled the case of Mike Tyson where Tyson got jailed because he raped a prostitute. And lastly, he said that all this time, they are threatening his client which is in violation of a code of lawyer.

So the big question is if its not April 24 then when? Atty. Batalla said its very clear that they did not mention any specific date but its also clear that April 24 was the date written on the affidavit filed by Roxanne Cabanero. It is really somewhat confusing.

Atty. Batalla explained why his client, Roxanne Cabanero could not remember the hotel and the date of the alleged rape clearly because Roxanne is "probinsyana". Probinsiyana in a sense that it's just her second time in Manila during the pageant, and a rape victim is psychologically shocked that there is a big tendency for her to get confused about the details of what happened during when she was raped.

Atty. Batalla also clarified that his client has no connection whatsoever to Cedric Lee despite allegations of Vhong's camp that Roxanne's actions were all Cedric Lee's plans.

Atty. Batalla also commented about the nude pictures of Roxanne around the internet. He said that it is immaterial and irrelevant since prostitutes can even file a rape complaint.

He added that their camp is confident that they have a case! He said they will not file a complaint if its baseless anyway.

Coleen Garcia Breaks Silence On Issue Regarding Billy Crawford

"Coleen has not said yes yet, "that was Billy Crawford's frequent punchline in the noontime program "Its Showtime".

This contradicts the previous news that Coleen was the reason behind Billy and Nikki Gil's breakup.

Coleen said that Billy is special but they are still not officially together. Coleen further explains that she wants to take some time because she wants to be sure about this. She realized that there is always time and the thing with boyfriend and girlfriend is not really for the label, for her, for Billy, but its for other people. She said there is something special between them but there is still no label. She further asked, noting if there is a deadline?

Meanwhile, in an interview at Buzz ng Bayan a few months ago, Billy stated that there was a point in time where Coleen is keeping her distance away from Billy because of all the negative issues being thrown at them.

Billy was on the same plane with Coleen's manager, Mr. Johnny Manahan and he can really vouch that they never went there together. Dawn Jimenez Featured As UNO Magazine's Cover Girl For March 2014 Issue

On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, actress Dawn Jimenez stripped as the featured cover girl of UNO Magazine in its March 2014 issue.

Jimenez can be seen on the cover of the magazine wearing a two-piece embellished underwear while holding a bunch of Kisses chocolates title "OTJ’s Dawn Jimenez Makes a Delicious Mess”.

According to Jimenez, "Actually, for me, it wasn't that challenging," when asked how she prepared for the photo shoot.

She added, "“It was very exciting, because I love chocolates! So when I found at na ‘yung theme was chocolate, super na-excite talaga ako. ‘Oh my god, it’s so me,’ sabi ko. ‘Ang hilig ko sa chocolates so para sa akin talaga ‘to.’”

In the Star Cinema film "On The Job", Jimenez played as actor Gerald Anderson's love interest.

She is also one of the cast of "Moon Desire", an upcoming TV series on ABS-CBN afternoon primetime.

Wally Bayola's Wife, Riza Ruen Bayola Stood By His Side Despite The Scandal

Despite all the scandal, comedian Wally Bayola's wife, Riza Ruen Bayola stayed by his side.

"I think when it comes to family, it's like that, you stay intact. Blood is really thicker than water," Riza said in a phone interview on Startalk last March 2.

Riza is a registered nurse and works as a cashier and an encoder at Zirkoh, where Wally also works as a stand up comedian.

Since Riza is always with Wally, she is already exposed to showbiz life.

According to Riza, she already knew that Wall had a relationship with EB Babe dancer Yosh Rivera even before the video scandal exploded.

So, when the news about the scandal broke out she was not shocked nor surprised.

Riza said, "That video was taken a long time ago. Of course, I was hurt when I saw that video. I am his wife, and any woman who sees her husband having a video scandal like that would definitely be hurt."

"To tell you the truth, I feel sorry for the girl. A lot of people say, I am really different. Instead of getting mad at them both, I feel sorry for them. They have been exposed too much. Though, they both commited that sin. But, I thought, the girl must be feeling the same thing I am feeling. And of course, I think the girl's family feels the same thing."

Riza continued, "I already talked to the girl before that happened. I tried to enlightened her. I said Wally is a family man. I also told her that she is still young and pretty and there'll be a lot of guys who'll court her. I never broke a fight against her, I just tried to enlighten her and she said sorry. She was crying when she said sorry and I felt she was true that she felt sorry that's why I never got mad at her."

Riza never got hysterical or something when he talked to Wally and Yosh, she is calm since both Wally and Yosh admitted their mistakes.

She thought everything would go back to normal until the sex video of Wally and Yosh broke out and went viral.

According to Riza, "At that time, Wally just stayed inside the room and cries all the time. Who am I anyway? I'm also just a human being who feels what he is feeling at that time. I really feel sorry for him. He said he wants to die because of shame. So, I tried to talked to him and enlighten him about the situation and told him clearly to never give up. I told him, we his family will support him no matter what. I also told our children that time that their father is really depressed and he needs help."

The next question is, has Riza already forgiven Wally?

Riza answered, "Yes, I forgave him and Yosh a long time ago even before the sex video came out to the public. For me, Wally is not really that bad. He is good, nice. It's just by chance that his weakness took control of him. So, I gave him another chance for him to realize that he had done something wrong and will make up for it."

Riza then had a statement to Wally, "Whatever happens, I, his wife and his kids will always be here, to support him all the way. We love him very much."
